PRODUCT     From imported concentrated copper ore, Thai Copper produces copper cathodes and other by product, inclide : Core Product : 165,000 tons of LME Grade A copper cathode By-product : 470,000 tons of sulphuric acid 145,000 Troy ounces of gold in Slime form 1,550,000 Troy ounces of silver in Slime form and 350,000 tons of granulate slag MARKET AND CUSTOMERS     Thai Copper suplies copper cathode products for the domestic market, which has strong demand in the region of approximately 165,000 tons per year. Thai Copper's output helps to substantially reduce the need for importing copper. The company's target customer include electrical wire, cable wire, enamel copper wire, and refrigerant tube industries. The demand for such products is directly related to the development of Thailand's infrastructure, manufacturing industries and the population's standard of living, all of wich have been flourishing. This in turn is a boost for the future potential of copper consumption PRODUCTION APPLICATIONS     Even though the main applications of copper in Thai industries are still limited to electrical wire and copper tube manufacturing, in developed countries copper is also used in many other forms such as for architectural and decorative use, kitchenware, tube / pipe fitting and machinery.     In the near future, it is predicted that the Thai market will likewise see similar applications for copper use.     Sulphuric acid is the Company's main by-product which is utilised in many industries such as fertilizer manufacturing, steel pickling, petroleum refining and waste water treatment.
